Co-occurrence of Malignant Melanoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma on Burn Scars: A Case Report

Tumors arising from burn scars are not rare but sometimes cause the co-existence of different tumors. However, detailed information on this topic remains largely unknown. We present a case co-occurrence malignant melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma in patient with history scars. A 73-year-old man presented an erythematous plaque his left lower leg that gradually turned into tumor ulceration. He also scaly tumors at other sites within same scar lesion. had burns age 20 years. After surgical resection tumors, histological analysis revealed posterior aspect largest was melanoma, remaining two were carcinomas, indicating types skin cancers. Based literature review previously published reports, is first report to highlight importance complete grafts reducing risk.
